Happy New Year everyone!
This is a reminder to all artists around the world that the deadline for applications to the 2016 Cheng Long Wetlands International Environmental Art Project in Taiwan is coming soon. The selected artists received a stipend (NT$60,000), airfare, accommodations, meals and volunteer help. All artists who apply will be notified about the selections for 2016 by email at the end of February 2016.
All application materials should be sent by email before the end of January 15 to Curator Jane Ingram Allen at firstname.lastname@example.org

2016 will be the 7th year of this art project in the village of Cheng Long on the southwest coast of Taiwan. This is a photo of the Cheng Long Wetlands showing some of the farmland and a small temple that is now underwater. and birds and other wildlife make their home there now.
The theme for 2016 is “Meet the Future in Cheng Long – the Next Thirty Years“, and all of the outdoor sculpture installations will use natural and recycled biodegradable materials and will be sited in the Wetlands nature preserve area.
Village residents and the children in Cheng Long Elementary School are looking forward to welcoming the 2016 selected artists to their village from April 7 to May 2, 2016. Be sure to get your proposal in soon! Applications will be accepted by email until it is no longer January 15 anywhere in the world…
