Everything is looking good for the Press Conference and official opening of the 2016 Cheng Long Wetlands International Environmental Art Project in Cheng Long, Dunlin County, Taiwan. The opening ceremony will start at 10AM on Friday, April 29, at the site set-up under the highway overpass near the entrance to Cheng Long Wetlands. Then the artists and curator Jane Ingram Allen will lead a tour for the press and guests to view all the 2016 artworks. Each artist will speak for a few minutes about the artwork they created, and the artist’s volunteer will translate for the audience. There will be opportunities for questions and interaction with the artists.
The public opening with DIY activities will be on Saturday, April 30, 2:30 – 5:30 in the afternoon and Sunday, May 1, 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning and 2:30 to 5:30 in the afternoon. Visitors can chat with each of the artists and do some creative activity at each artwork site. Volunteers will be available to guide the visitors and help to translate.
